The singers in law

Linda is a trial lawyer specializing in labor and employment law with Ballard Rosenberg Golper & Savitt. She has tried cases on behalf of Fortune 100 companies, universities, hospitals and public entities.  She has been an Associate in the American Board of Trial Advocates since 2001 having tried 36 jury trials.  She was named Attorney of the Year by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department in 2005.

Before becoming a lawyer, Linda sang professionally under the stage name, Linda Asher.  Linda began singing  in grade school.  Her first performance was “Summertime,” and after the concert her teacher commented that she shook her hips a lot.  Not much changed after that.  In her late teens she performed in summer camp musicals as Hodel in Fiddler On The Roof, and Philia in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum.  She starred in The Dangerous Christmas of Little Red Riding Hood with The American Children’sTheatre.  She then formed her own trio performing at clubs throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.  She then joined The New Deal Rhythm Band (a 10 piece swing show band) which was replacing its original lead vocalist, Cheryl Bentyne who had left to join The Manhattan Transfer.  Under the stage name, Linda Asher, she toured with The New Deal for the next nine years.  She recorded two albums with The New Deal Rhythm Band.

Ready for a new challenge, Linda began her legal career at Thomas & Price where she tried her first wrongful death case her first year in practice.
